Kerosene (jet A) the liquid fuel is not explosive by itself. The fuel vapor needs to be pressurized with Oxygen. Jet A is aviation kerosene, it is very similar to the common kerosene used in home lamps and heaters.
No common kerosene lamp used in home has ever exploded.
