+danp5648 Americium is in the decay pathway of Plutonium. Found this, "Americium is a man-made metal produced when plutonium atoms absorb neutrons in nuclear reactors and in nuclear weapons detonations. Americium has several different isotopes, all of which are radioactive. The most important isotope is Am-241."

You showed a guy hanging out in open area with his shoes still on and said "crushed". The core area also had tons of people are alive and well. Two Port Authority officers, and stairwell B in the South Tower. These are examples of groups of people doing fine in and around the "crushed" zone.
